Matthew 15:19

19 For out of the heart come ^aevil thoughts, ^bmurder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, ^cslander.

Romans 7:8-13

8 But sin, ^dseizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. ^eFor apart from the law, sin lies dead. 9 I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and I died. 10 The very commandment ^fthat promised life proved to be death to me. 11 For sin, ^gseizing an opportunity through the commandment, ^hdeceived me and through it killed me. 12 So ⁱthe law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.

13 Did that which is good, then, bring death to me? By no means! It was sin, producing death in me through what is good, in order that sin might be shown to be sin, and through the commandment might become sinful beyond measure.

Galatians 5:19-21

19 Now ^jthe works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, ^kdivisions, 21 envy, ^{▼▼Some manuscripts add murder} drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that ^mthose who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

James 1:15

15 Then desire ⁿwhen it has conceived gives birth to sin, and ^osin when it is fully grown brings forth death.
